Caught Up In “The Madness” The Result!

Whatever’s Whatever had just finished an on-air radio interview speaking about “The Madness” and how Whatever’s Whatever was born.  During the ride after we conversed on several other issues pertaining to Whatever’s Whatever and after a short period of silence the following was said...

“You know, ever time I look at these young people or see one in the newspaper, shackled, or in handcuffs standing in front of a Judge…it’s like I don’t get angry anymore. I look at them and tell myself, you know, that could have been my son standing there instead of in the cemetery and that one could be where he is right now. I’m not feeling the same hatred or anger I used to feel. I feel sorry for him (them). There’s a Higher Power that will deal with them. I’ve realized that once they have taken another persons life, they’re just as dead the person whose life they took.”

Over the next three days that conversation stayed on my mind even when I was drifting off to sleep at night. Now, what I came away with from that dialogue was a sense of “inner peace”. Strange? Not really and here is why.

I recalled the entire conversation to the point where I realized that the individuals who are caught up in “The Madness” do more harm than just to the family and friends of the victim. There is a lot of emotional, and sometimes physical, damage brought upon the survivors and their lives have been changed forever. But think about this…YOU who have caused this damage and heartache to others have also caused emotional, and possibly physical, damage to yourself AND your family and friends. From your negative action, lack of respect and lack of self-respect YOU have changed your life and the lives of those around you FOREVER! No, you cannot dismiss this fact easily. THINK! You are similar to the so-called suicide bomber. One major difference is that once your dark deed is done the result for you is an “immediate spiritual and emotional death”.

YOU may continue trying to fool yourself but those who know you, have been and are around you on a daily basis, can tell. They know and feel (though maybe not consciously) that you too have died. And believe it or not, that is how you will carry yourself for the rest of your life for the whole world to see.  Your false sense of security is as obvious as the proverbial “day is long”. All of a sudden the way you YOU, your family members and friends used to do things, places you, your family members and friends used to go, has all changed. Always having to constantly look over your shoulder! Now YOU are not only AFRAID for yourself, but for your family and friends as well. THINK!

“I’ve realized that once YOU have taken another persons life, YOU are just as dead as the person whose life YOU took.”
