| An Open Challenge!!! To all of the young people from ALL communities: You have been led to believe that why, how, and what you are doing is in some way going to benefit you in the long-run. You believe that the 'destructive behavior' you exhibit will bring great rewards in the form of money, cars, respect, etc. It's quite clear where these messages come from and it is also clear that you have allowed yourselves to believe in the lie. What has not been told to you is just how much 'greatness' you have in you! You have the talent and ability to build an economic giant within your own communities, second to none. And then utilize that force to benefit yourselves, your families, and your communities. What makes you accept the idea that simply because someone has 'labeled' you, you must live up to that particular label or stereotype? Can you not think for yourselves and make logical decisions based on positive actions? If it seems as though there is an air of 'anger', and NO FEAR in these words.....(excuse us) You're damn right! It's about time someone told you in order to make you understand how much damage you are causing yourself, family, friends, and community. In order to build a house you must first select the lot, lay a strong foundation, and build from the ground up. The communities and neighborhoods in which you live are the 'lots' on which you must build your house. The foundation is that which comes from within...YOU! The 'house' is YOUR community and neighborhoods. However, it's about time someone told you straight! What you have done is pollute the 'lot', built a weak foundation, and continue to build the 'house' from the roof downward! All because of your 'destructive behavior', negative attitude, lack of respect, and lack of self-respect do you actually believe you have the right to demand and or control anything or anyone! Normally if someone challenges you to do something the natural thing to do is to "THINK" about what challenge has been put before you. You actually begin to "logically" make a decision based on your health, safety, and well-being and whether you will accept the challenge put before you. Therefore, the challenge is made to all young people in our communities who are currently engaged in a lifestyle that will ultimately result in their 'untimely demise'. 1. Undo the damage you have done! 2. Stop putting yourself, family, friends, and community in situations that raise concern for safety 3. Stop forcing your parents to have to make funeral arrangements for YOU! 4. Stop using "every excuse in the book" to justify your destructive behavior 5. START respecting yourself, family, friends, elders, and your community 6. LISTEN to those who have true knowledge and willingly give you positive advice, at no cost to you 7. REALIZE the greatness and talent you have inside of you and make it work to create a positive effect throughout your community.
